title & 21 day 2

Here's the cover page I did last night. Don't think I'll be adding on white bits to too many more pictures. Enjoyed mixing up my foam stamps though (those delish paints are soo nice & creamy to use!).

I've also done day 2's challenge - playing with colour & patterned paper scraps - needed some 'vibrancy' after my muted cover & day one challenge page.

As I think about this quote - there's a lot I can take from it. It's not about our past, it's about our future! Why worry about finding the me that once was but embrace the now & look forward! We can't go back only forward!

Have enjoyed checking out some other 21 day challenge pages - thanks for sharing these everyone & thanks for the comments too!

I now have to go & do my housework & get myself prepped for facilitating a celebrating cutlure workshop for Playcentre tomorrow before crawling into bed. Posted by Picasa

Your art journal is looking great. Lots of fun, I'll bet. Just don't have the time this time around but down the track, I'd love to do this.
PS - just trying to think up some exquisite coffee & choc creation for you!! LOL.

Wahoo, I won one of the Awards For Excellence with For Keeps - for photography! I've just collected my prizes from a friends place - she went shopping to spend my $500 voucher at Scrapbookers Delight in Auckland for me - how cool is that a prize & a personal shopper!!!??? Any way I got quite a few bits of patterned paper, cardstocks (still need white!!!), a new trimmer, an embossing heat gun, some stazons, some distressing ink a new cutting mat, some cool powders, adhesives & tombow, anyway, have to go put it all in it's place so I can use it. Niks coming up tonight so we can play - have a tag to make for our cyber friend Sal of Scrap Of Faith as she had her fifth baby - Cowper early this morning - Congrats Sal! Anyway, gotta vacuum since Niks coming....

Cheese Rolls

Spread sliced bread with Cheese Spread (see below). Roll up. Toast in oven & serve hot. These may be frozen and heated when required! cheese spread: 1pkt onion soup; 500g tasty cheese - grated; a 400g tin of evaporated milk; Put all ingredients in a saucepan and heat slowly until cheese melts and mixture thickens. Stir well. When cool store in jars in the fridge for sandwhiches etc or put in your cheese rolls! Yep, the Up2Scrap Elite Design team has been announced - soo privileged & excited to be a part of it. Congrats to Donna , Rach , Lianne , Trina & Sue & thanks Steph & Jo for the opportunity:-) We have been in Invercargill overnight - nice to get away even if it is only for a night! We went to Queens Park & the Museum/Art Gallery today & the Art Gallery Cafe served these cheese rolls -yum! Such a lower South Island thing - but soo good!

thunderpants inspired

Here it is Karen - inspired by thunderpants! Had fun doodling. Love that I found that quote - fits the pic very aptly! Got my hands on clean & simple the sequel by Cathy Z today - such a good read so far!!! Also got a letter from Pride Publishing - they want one of my A-Z Lo's for publication in issue 44 - so exciting (just wish I live with a bunch of scrappers who understand what this means to me - but then I 'd have to share my stash!). Donna also got a letter - congrats Donna! (her links down to the lower right of my blog) To all those scrap camping - this weekend - hope it's a good one at whichever camp you are at. I'm looking forward to mine next weekend!
