Memories Made Monthly - January

It was great creating a cover page for my January collection of layouts using the Memories Made Monthly Instructions and suggested supplies.  I'm now getting ready for February!  Its easier when I've taken a bit of time over the month to think about photos I might want to put on this page and putting them in their own folder in my phone. I'm going to share the February Information tomorrow but it's not too late if you want to work on January too - send me a message or a comment and I'll let you know how.

Princess

I think this layout is my favourite this year so far... the colours, the gorgeous bride and the soft and dainty nature of the embellishments. New Grad

This month I used the 'Sunshine Vibes' bundle to create this layout for the Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team. Using die cuts to create stencils is a favourite way to create backgrounds for my scrapbook layouts. This bundle allowed me to do this and then to back some of the die cuts with in colour DSP.  Puffy hearts and fussy cut flowers add dimension. If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator already and want the supplies I have used, please visit: https://laramoss.stampinup.net and head to the shop to look for: Sunshine Vibes Bundle Mini Alphabet Dies Florals in Bloom DSP

'Make a Memory Scrapbooking Kit

This was an easy way to get lots of memory keeping done at a crop yesterday!  7 layouts created and I put together another one from the kit today.  There is still more left in the kit box to make 2 - 3 more layouts! I made a few additions - some stamping, splattering, stitching and threads to add some texture and background interest. Head to the shop to check out this kit!

Everyday You & Me - the Lara version

Stampin' Up! has produced 4 fantastic Scrapbooking Workshops.  The Everyday You and Me Workshop is just one of these.  Workshops come with supplies to create 3 double page layouts including a cutting guide and instructions.  For my customers who purchase this Workshop, I have created a guide to create 6 single page layouts as this is what most of us create and it gives another option. You can purchase the kit HERE If you sign up with me and include your email address so I can contact you, I'll email the instructions for your personal use to create these 6 pages.

You've Been On My Mind

My first contribution to the Artisan Design Team was to use the Sale-A-Bration Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper and the Memory Blooms Bundle.  I dare you to use 'bare' stamped images - no added colouring on your crafting projects. .     If any of these projects interest you head to my website to purchase products to make them and you can get the Bloom Impressions DSP free with $125 NZ order until February 28th 2025.

Snow Day!

Last Friday was a snow day...this meant no school.  It had started early...I noticed a bit of a glow through our bedroom curtains when I woke up at 3:30am and on checking outside there was a lovely layer of snow.    Of course I had to get outside and photograph it and didn't stop to put any shoes on... I went back to my warm bed and got a bit of sleep before discovering that it was indeed a snow day and that we wouldn't have any school - handy when I had quite a bit of school work that needed to be done but first, time for a spa! As the morning progressed, I decided the daffodils my husband had picked from our fence line the day before would be a perfect way to document our spring snowfall of 2024. It was wonderful to be able to put these onto pages over the next few days as was joining a group of paper crafters for the weekend.  We did have to head home earlier as more snow was threatening to close roads..it didn't! Supplies for these pages can be purchased fr...

August Stitch and Colour Layout Kit

My friend Claire organises a scrap day at a hotel near where she lives every six weeks or so.  A few of the ladies asked me to create a kit for them and so my 'Scrappy Kea Layout Kits' started!  These kits have cutting guides and instructions as well as the papers, cardstock, images and embellishments needed to create the layouts - just add your own basics e.g. black ink, adhesive, trimmer and photos. After Sharing the layouts, there was a bit of interest from other Makers for the instructions and cutting guides.  I'm not sure I'm ready to share these far and wide just yet but it is something I am considering as a possibility!   Close To My Heart generally has lovely layout guides with each collection they create too - if you love double page layouts these are the way to go.  My kits are single page layouts which is what I and most of the ladies I create with prefer. No Frills Scrap Weekend

This camp started on a Thursday afternoon and went through till Sunday after lunch. No frills as in we were to organise our own meals etc. We all bring our own stuff and stuff we want to sell. The company is always top notch and creativity fills the room. I created 20 pages in total which was pretty good going...I’m certainly not as prolific as I used to be! I trialled the HP Sprocket and was disappointed in the colour rendition of the prints...very similar to the ones that come from my Instax camera.  It does have the fun novelty factor though. The photos on this layout were printed on the sprocket and are teamed up with the ‘Documented’ collection. This photo was also printed with the sprocket using the black and white filter in the sprocket app. I’ve used a mixture of CTMH collections on this page with some texture paste, stitching and waterpaints. Leave a comment to let me know you visited:-)
