Coffee

I like coffee a lot! I love Jase bringing me a coffee in bed. I love that it keeps me awake for the many busy moments of my days & I love the texture and taste of a really good cup. I love knowing when the espresso starts coming out of the head of my machine whether it will be a good cup or not & then seeing the mottled crema as it waits for some creamy milk to be added. For a year I had made do with a coffee grinder that didn't really do it's job properly but mum got me a fantastic grinder for my birthday & now I'm almost guaranteed a good cup (part from when I need to clean the machine!).

There's nothing like a really good coffee, I agree. Lucky you having all the gear! I've taken to drinking green tea at home & saving the coffee for when I'm out!!

I so agree I want to come and visit right now for a coffee. Last week at church the pastor asked what jobs we would love to do and I called out work at the Bean thats the best place for coffee in the Bay of Plenty I'm sure.

I don't like coffee but sometimes wish I did. the names sound so yummy - long black, epresso, latte, moccachino etc etc.
Cool layouts here too Lara. Love the one with the hand journalling and the photo of the piano. Lucky you getting all that p/p. I want some 3bugs too.

I adore evertything about coffee - the process of making it, checking out the crema, reading reviews of the perfect machine, the grinder my Mum gave us, the smell - everything - except the taste - I don't drink it! I need three teaspoons of sugar to make it palatable so I don't drink it. Darryn is a coffee fiend, though. There's no instant at our place!

Purging

The stuff can take over.  My stuff was covering my work surface and much of the bedroom floor.  I had to do a big sort out. I was brutal.   Stuff...ready to go. I packaged it in some storage totes I had that needed a new home (I’m waiting for my new CTMH travel system to arrive) and listed it on s local trading site.  It’s gone now. It doesn’t look pretty but I have a desk space and things are organised. The rest of my supplies now fit in this cupboard. Since the ‘purge’ I have had the space to create.  It feels good and it’s great to be able to get to my desk. A few pages made since the tidy up...and a box of 20 cards!

Cheese Rolls

Spread sliced bread with Cheese Spread (see below). Roll up. Toast in oven & serve hot. These may be frozen and heated when required! cheese spread: 1pkt onion soup; 500g tasty cheese - grated; a 400g tin of evaporated milk; Put all ingredients in a saucepan and heat slowly until cheese melts and mixture thickens. Stir well. When cool store in jars in the fridge for sandwhiches etc or put in your cheese rolls! Yep, the Up2Scrap Elite Design team has been announced - soo privileged & excited to be a part of it. Congrats to Donna , Rach , Lianne , Trina & Sue & thanks Steph & Jo for the opportunity:-) We have been in Invercargill overnight - nice to get away even if it is only for a night! We went to Queens Park & the Museum/Art Gallery today & the Art Gallery Cafe served these cheese rolls -yum! Such a lower South Island thing - but soo good!

digital scrapbooking

I have been asked by a couple of friends via facebook about digital scrapbooking...what it is, how to and some sites etc. I thought I'd put a post here about it and send them here (just click on the purple coloured words and you'll head to the site I'm talking about). Essentially digital scrapbooking is using digital 'elements' to create scrapbook pages all on your computer, they can be saved as jpegs and printed on your home printer or through a photo developer, or you can just save them to a disc & can share them easily via email, flickr or even facebook! OK, design software, I use gimp because it's free! You can download trials of photoshop , photoshop elements and Creative Suite if you think you might like to purchase some slightly more user friendly software...There are other software options, but photoshop seems to be a main one. Edited to add: Quick pages.... basically the page is made for you and you just put your photo into it....check out this...
