Design Team Work

For the Scrapbook Outlet for March.

Loved doing this double layout - there's a sketch for it in the gallery too if you are looking for some ideas for a double layout. loved using the buttons & getting lots of pics on the page.

Check out the rest here!

Also get posts in the SBO forum up to 100, pm site admin & you'll be able to vote for your two most fave (believe me this bit is hard) layouts in the SBO Survivor competition for two design team members..... a few more challenges to come yet :-)

I've been busy getting some stuff done for a market here that a few of us are having a stall at... any market tips & adivce is much appreciated :-) simple things we can make for sale with minimal cost & not too much time involved would be fantastic! It's for the Arrowtown Autumn Festival.

later.

love how you managed to fit so many photos into the layout. I have not completed a double layout in such a long time I must give that a go again.

Hmmm fair ideas....will put my thinking cap on.

Fair idea - ever made those little concertina albums? We did a pile of those once ready for people to add their own photos. Went down well.

What about blank cards or, better, packs of 5 gift tags made out of PP scraps?

Yeah - like Mel, I was going to suggest squash albums and packs of cards. Christmas present tags might be good tho' folks might not want to think about Christmas yet!

Great double layout :-)

How about packs of birhtday cards? Or cards that are blank inside? Or cards with an NZ theme? Say six to a pack. Some Granma's Brag albums. Some generic 8X8 (or smaller) canvasses so people can just add their own photo to display on their desk.

Or even on A5 pieces of chipboard. Or make up plastic bags with some A5 chipboard, patterned paper, c/s and ribbon so people can make their own and add their own photo to it. I'll send you a photo of what I mean

Yep I was going to suggest the concertina albums too.
What about little party bags/handbag treat bags. They dont have to be for kids either..you could have naughty ones!!!lol
Or how about paper bag albums already for mothers day? Just need two paper bags, cs/pp and voila!

How about bottles of sunshine? Have a paper pieced or die-cut sun hanging down (use ribbon/fibre) inside from the lid of a jar like a jam jar.

Or button bracelets/necklaces?

Or felt monsters a la Elsie.

Wow, I love that double layout!! It is awesome how you used so many photos and yet it doesn't look too busy since you have still made room for "white space", KWIM?

Purging

The stuff can take over.  My stuff was covering my work surface and much of the bedroom floor.  I had to do a big sort out. I was brutal.   Stuff...ready to go. I packaged it in some storage totes I had that needed a new home (I’m waiting for my new CTMH travel system to arrive) and listed it on s local trading site.  It’s gone now. It doesn’t look pretty but I have a desk space and things are organised. The rest of my supplies now fit in this cupboard. Since the ‘purge’ I have had the space to create.  It feels good and it’s great to be able to get to my desk. A few pages made since the tidy up...and a box of 20 cards!

my week so far...

This week is turning out great!  Having time on Monday (Otago Anniversary Day) to scrap with Lynley was just the best beginning!  Lynley was putting together some beginner class stuff that she intends to do soon – it looked great!  I got home to an email from The Scrapbook Outlet NZ asking if I would be a casual/oncall designer for their Design Team – of course I accepted – can’t wait to learn from Rach , Donna & Shani!  Then today I get an email from Jo (subeditor @ Up2Scrap ) accepting one of my submissions – I did send a few mind you so as you can imagine I’m buzzing!  I have packaged the LO ready to send tomorrow after Playcentre. Need to get back to reality though – Mum & Dad’s 50th Birthday this weekend, have to work out what I’m going to say, sort some table decorations & not to mention some way of sharing pictures of them when I only have Friday night & Saturday to do it!  Have to do some Playcentre Admin work this ev...
