imaginings & openings

The dare from the middle of last week (I think) was to use 'imagine' as the theme for your card, my dream card emerged from this. I smeared it with Lil davis glitter glaze and adhered the letters on top. I stamped with some blue shadow ink - to try not to have too much strenght of colour - that day dreamy, hazy feeling.... Last Friday's dare was to have openings or windows in your card. I used my small retro daisy punch to create a row of flower windows along th ebottom of this birthday card and adhered some 7 gypsies tape in behind them. So what are the tricks for stamping on fabric? It doesn't have the depth of colour I imagined & can you heat emboss on fabric?

There are only 3 kits left of the January kits which are shipping today from the Scrapbook Outlet. These were designed by Yolande & Donna & it looks stunning, watch out for the limited edition designed stamp too :-)

Purging

The stuff can take over.  My stuff was covering my work surface and much of the bedroom floor.  I had to do a big sort out. I was brutal.   Stuff...ready to go. I packaged it in some storage totes I had that needed a new home (I’m waiting for my new CTMH travel system to arrive) and listed it on s local trading site.  It’s gone now. It doesn’t look pretty but I have a desk space and things are organised. The rest of my supplies now fit in this cupboard. Since the ‘purge’ I have had the space to create.  It feels good and it’s great to be able to get to my desk. A few pages made since the tidy up...and a box of 20 cards!

my week so far...

This week is turning out great!  Having time on Monday (Otago Anniversary Day) to scrap with Lynley was just the best beginning!  Lynley was putting together some beginner class stuff that she intends to do soon – it looked great!  I got home to an email from The Scrapbook Outlet NZ asking if I would be a casual/oncall designer for their Design Team – of course I accepted – can’t wait to learn from Rach , Donna & Shani!  Then today I get an email from Jo (subeditor @ Up2Scrap ) accepting one of my submissions – I did send a few mind you so as you can imagine I’m buzzing!  I have packaged the LO ready to send tomorrow after Playcentre. Need to get back to reality though – Mum & Dad’s 50th Birthday this weekend, have to work out what I’m going to say, sort some table decorations & not to mention some way of sharing pictures of them when I only have Friday night & Saturday to do it!  Have to do some Playcentre Admin work this ev...
