I'm back!

Had a great week in Dunedin. Spent our first night there staying @ the Esplanade hotel in St Clair - just Jase & I - so nice to get away. The next day we went shopping & Jase bought me a new camera - has 12 x optical zoom - fantastic for getting great pics of my speedy & often far away threesome!
Took these pics on it on Thursday when I took the kids to St Clair beach for a play(& so I could get pictures) after their swimming lesson. Love
how Alicia's purple coat looks in this light!

OK - I have some HS summer days tape from scrapbook essentials in Invercargill that I'm going to RAK. Place your comments on this blog & I'm gonna write down your names & let one of my children choose one & then I'll send you the tapes (after you have given me your details etc) - NZ or OZ only! I'll draw this Next Sunday night (16th July) @ 9pm & post the info as soon after as I can. The SE forum also has a great challenge 'favourite things' going on this month.

Just got back from our Wakatipu Scrappers crop - got some challenge LO's for a group finished - yeah - love challenges - get so much done - amazing how I need that extrinsic motivation! Speaking of which - who is going to enter the 'everyday moments' comp with For Keeps? Love the idea of this album - great to get these down so to speak. Congrats to all those who have their 'make it meaningful' albums ready or sent & to those who intend to get them sent in the next week - this one never got off the planning stage - was soo scrapped out after the A-Z album. My A-Z album came back last week - so nice to have it home! & I look forward to seeing my LO in print in #44.

The Scrapbook Outlet has some great challenges going at the moment so check the forum for info. There's also some fantastic work that's been put in the gallery following our first cyber crop - congrats to everyone who gave these a go & to the winners - some fantabulous prizes.

Jealous of those looking forward to CC next month (got my camera instead - think the camera will do me for a bit longer:-) - hope you are all getting your homework done.

Getting a bit late - must go get some sleep! Posted by Picasa

Great to see you back. Loving the camera vs CC rationale ... sounds perfect to me!
Still waiting to have FK#44 appear in our bookshop ... and keen to do edm even if it's just for me. (There's an online option as well ... at aussie scrapsource(?) ... I like that you can do either or both.)

I love your daughters purple jacket - is it woollen? Laura was given a purple shot jacket that she loves and everyone comments on it when she is wearing it. I love all your LO's you've been very busy.

Purging

The stuff can take over.  My stuff was covering my work surface and much of the bedroom floor.  I had to do a big sort out. I was brutal.   Stuff...ready to go. I packaged it in some storage totes I had that needed a new home (I’m waiting for my new CTMH travel system to arrive) and listed it on s local trading site.  It’s gone now. It doesn’t look pretty but I have a desk space and things are organised. The rest of my supplies now fit in this cupboard. Since the ‘purge’ I have had the space to create.  It feels good and it’s great to be able to get to my desk. A few pages made since the tidy up...and a box of 20 cards!

my week so far...

This week is turning out great!  Having time on Monday (Otago Anniversary Day) to scrap with Lynley was just the best beginning!  Lynley was putting together some beginner class stuff that she intends to do soon – it looked great!  I got home to an email from The Scrapbook Outlet NZ asking if I would be a casual/oncall designer for their Design Team – of course I accepted – can’t wait to learn from Rach , Donna & Shani!  Then today I get an email from Jo (subeditor @ Up2Scrap ) accepting one of my submissions – I did send a few mind you so as you can imagine I’m buzzing!  I have packaged the LO ready to send tomorrow after Playcentre. Need to get back to reality though – Mum & Dad’s 50th Birthday this weekend, have to work out what I’m going to say, sort some table decorations & not to mention some way of sharing pictures of them when I only have Friday night & Saturday to do it!  Have to do some Playcentre Admin work this ev...
