Grateful Heart CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our Grateful Heart Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop. Where we hope to inspire you to use the 'Grateful Heart' collection. If you have arrived here from Doreen's Blog   then you are in the right place. If you have visited from a link elsewhere, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.   Grateful Heart wasn't my favourite collection in the current Seasonal Expressions (my favourite will be featured in December) but I enjoy a challenge and ended up enjoying the process of creating with it.  I made good use of the Seasons Mix-Ins to soften the autumnal colours (it's Spring here at the moment). For these layouts and a couple of cards, I also used the October Stamp Of the Month. My first layout using Grateful Heart was put together with a process video and you can go to my previous post HERE . I had packed the Grateful Heart Workshops Your Way Kit, along with my Cricut and the Seasons Mix Ins in my travel bags ...

Granny Loves You

Grateful Heart is the Close To My Heart October Feature Collection. I had the chance to begin my foray into this collection yesterday afternoon whilst staying at my parents place.  The Workshops Your Way kits along with some stamps, Inks and a basic tool kit are all you need to be able to create ‘on the go’. Workshops Your Way Grateful Heart Scrapbooking Kit: I used this kit, along with canary, tangerine and pomegranate ink, an older ‘documented’ stamp set and ‘watercolour impressions’. I used the Cricut for my title but some of our font stamps would be perfect for this too.  You can watch a video of the process used in creating this layout:

Beautiful Boutique

Welcome to our Boutique CTMH Australiasian Blog Hop. If you arrived from  V andra's  blog, you are on the right track. If you happened by my blog on a happy accident...please follow the links to enjoy what has been created using the  September Feature Range of 'Boutique' - a gorgeous soft, lovely and versatile pastel range. ‘Beautiful’ is a page I put together to capture the memory of after school cafe sessions with both of my daughters.  It’s the final year of school for one of them so these are rare occasions and will not last forever. Process Video for the ‘Beautiful’ layout: Love You Love Moments Teen Camp Sweet playing with texture pastes and inks to add interest to the background. I would love you to leave a comment before you continue on our Blog Hop to see what Kara   has created.

Documented

Featured Paper Blog Hop-Documented Welcome to our Featured Paper Blog Hop! We will be showcasing items from our Documented Paper Pack with various projects created by talented Close to my Heart Consultants. If you are visiting from Shirley’s blog then you are on the right track, if not please start at the CTMH Blog Challenge and Support Group Blog Hop Guidelines beginning with our hostess Carol . This months feature collection is ‘Documented’.  I didn’t love this collection when I first saw it but it grew on me and it really works with the photos. I created this layout using the Workshops Your Way Kit along with the Documented cardmaking and Scrapbooking stamps (and thin cuts): Process Video for this layout:  I love the depth that the wooden title and dots add to the finished page! Some more layouts featuring ‘Documented'... Thanks for visiting and I'm the end of the 'Blog Hop' so if you didn't start at Carol's blog , head th...

No Frills Scrap Weekend

This camp started on a Thursday afternoon and went through till Sunday after lunch. No frills as in we were to organise our own meals etc. We all bring our own stuff and stuff we want to sell. The company is always top notch and creativity fills the room. I created 20 pages in total which was pretty good going...I’m certainly not as prolific as I used to be! I trialled the HP Sprocket and was disappointed in the colour rendition of the prints...very similar to the ones that come from my Instax camera.  It does have the fun novelty factor though. The photos on this layout were printed on the sprocket and are teamed up with the ‘Documented’ collection. This photo was also printed with the sprocket using the black and white filter in the sprocket app. I’ve used a mixture of CTMH collections on this page with some texture paste, stitching and waterpaints. Leave a comment to let me know you visited:-)

Finding Inspiration To Create

This term at school has been full on!  So much to do in so little time. Creating has gone by the wayside so the necessary things could be done.  This term is done and I gave myself the weekend to make stuff, to reset so I can get on with school stuff in my non-contact time next week.  A weekend off is bliss.  It took a bit of work to ge going, it’s been a while and I made use of a layout in the CTMH SE2 Idea Book as my foundation for this page: And, I even set up the tripod to be able to share a process video with you: As well as Scraplifting from sources like the Idea Books, creating alongside friends is another source of inspiration.  Melissa is one of those friends and we scraplifted each other. I created this page with the idea of ‘near the edge’ in mind.  Melissa later lifted this, making it her own. This page was on I lifted from Melissa.  It was a great way to make use of lots of bits from different kits and complements packs. After scraplifting...

Happy 16th Birthday

It felt good to be creating again...and I managed to find my missing tripod to make it possible.  It's fun creating process videos but challenging too - the technology is the most challenging bit for me, especially when uploading (which takes ages) as our internet isn't totally reliable. This page was preparation for a demonstration layout at an upcoming scrapcamp where I have offered to use the Stamp Of The Month on a page to help others make good use of it.  These stamps are only $7.50 for the month when people spend $75 on orders (NZ prices) so are great value if you are tying them in with an order for other things...like the kit used here - Gimme Some Sugar, which is $51 and includes papers, cardstock, ribbon, complements (stickers etc.) and some cork shapes.  You also get a set of instructions to make some pages and cards for easy scrapbooking - they are called 'Workshops Your Way' and when teamed with the instructions, it's kind of like a takeaway wor...

Purging

The stuff can take over.  My stuff was covering my work surface and much of the bedroom floor.  I had to do a big sort out. I was brutal.   Stuff...ready to go. I packaged it in some storage totes I had that needed a new home (I’m waiting for my new CTMH travel system to arrive) and listed it on s local trading site.  It’s gone now. It doesn’t look pretty but I have a desk space and things are organised. The rest of my supplies now fit in this cupboard. Since the ‘purge’ I have had the space to create.  It feels good and it’s great to be able to get to my desk. A few pages made since the tidy up...and a box of 20 cards!
