Playing Creatively

Each month a group of local ladies get together to create our pages and get our memories recorded or to make cards to share special sentiments with others.  Yesterday was one of those days.  I look forward to this day each month.  I had quite a few photos to scrap yesterday and still have a bundle from our adventure to the beach and farm last weekend - I think these will be in a book all of their own.  Here are some of the pages I created last night.  Layouts 2 & 3 made use of the resin we had our first play with yesterday - so fast.  Nic's instructions and the materials from Andrea were spot on.

'the Farm Experience' is my favourite layout from yesterday.  The simplicity of the photograph seems to work with the slightly more detailed patterned paper that I sprayed with a little Glimmermist first.

Purging

The stuff can take over.  My stuff was covering my work surface and much of the bedroom floor.  I had to do a big sort out. I was brutal.   Stuff...ready to go. I packaged it in some storage totes I had that needed a new home (I’m waiting for my new CTMH travel system to arrive) and listed it on s local trading site.  It’s gone now. It doesn’t look pretty but I have a desk space and things are organised. The rest of my supplies now fit in this cupboard. Since the ‘purge’ I have had the space to create.  It feels good and it’s great to be able to get to my desk. A few pages made since the tidy up...and a box of 20 cards!

my week so far...

This week is turning out great!  Having time on Monday (Otago Anniversary Day) to scrap with Lynley was just the best beginning!  Lynley was putting together some beginner class stuff that she intends to do soon – it looked great!  I got home to an email from The Scrapbook Outlet NZ asking if I would be a casual/oncall designer for their Design Team – of course I accepted – can’t wait to learn from Rach , Donna & Shani!  Then today I get an email from Jo (subeditor @ Up2Scrap ) accepting one of my submissions – I did send a few mind you so as you can imagine I’m buzzing!  I have packaged the LO ready to send tomorrow after Playcentre. Need to get back to reality though – Mum & Dad’s 50th Birthday this weekend, have to work out what I’m going to say, sort some table decorations & not to mention some way of sharing pictures of them when I only have Friday night & Saturday to do it!  Have to do some Playcentre Admin work this ev...
