New Entrant Teacher

Really enjoying having my own classroom rather than teaching in a few each day - even if they were daily teaching times in the rooms, there's something about at least having a cupboard to keep my stuff in! My blogging for fun has been really useful with my class blog and as my class grows it will be fantastic to keep parents/whanau up to date and informed, am hoping the children in the class can do some of our videoing and photography for it so it's a real ICT experience for them too.

Have some scrap creating to do this weekend - will be nice to take a break from school stuff and get paper everywhere. A bit of nook & pantry in there too....loved this stuff from the sneaks and cool to have it to play with for the ezine!

Queenstown Scrapretreat Workshops and Day registrations are all go over there!

Smiles.

Purging

The stuff can take over.  My stuff was covering my work surface and much of the bedroom floor.  I had to do a big sort out. I was brutal.   Stuff...ready to go. I packaged it in some storage totes I had that needed a new home (I’m waiting for my new CTMH travel system to arrive) and listed it on s local trading site.  It’s gone now. It doesn’t look pretty but I have a desk space and things are organised. The rest of my supplies now fit in this cupboard. Since the ‘purge’ I have had the space to create.  It feels good and it’s great to be able to get to my desk. A few pages made since the tidy up...and a box of 20 cards!

my week so far...

This week is turning out great!  Having time on Monday (Otago Anniversary Day) to scrap with Lynley was just the best beginning!  Lynley was putting together some beginner class stuff that she intends to do soon – it looked great!  I got home to an email from The Scrapbook Outlet NZ asking if I would be a casual/oncall designer for their Design Team – of course I accepted – can’t wait to learn from Rach , Donna & Shani!  Then today I get an email from Jo (subeditor @ Up2Scrap ) accepting one of my submissions – I did send a few mind you so as you can imagine I’m buzzing!  I have packaged the LO ready to send tomorrow after Playcentre. Need to get back to reality though – Mum & Dad’s 50th Birthday this weekend, have to work out what I’m going to say, sort some table decorations & not to mention some way of sharing pictures of them when I only have Friday night & Saturday to do it!  Have to do some Playcentre Admin work this ev...
