Snow Day!

Last Friday was a snow day...this meant no school.  It had started early...I noticed a bit of a glow through our bedroom curtains when I woke up at 3:30am and on checking outside there was a lovely layer of snow.

Of course I had to get outside and photograph it and didn't stop to put any shoes on...

I went back to my warm bed and got a bit of sleep before discovering that it was indeed a snow day and that we wouldn't have any school - handy when I had quite a bit of school work that needed to be done but first, time for a spa!

As the morning progressed, I decided the daffodils my husband had picked from our fence line the day before would be a perfect way to document our spring snowfall of 2024.

It was wonderful to be able to put these onto pages over the next few days as was joining a group of paper crafters for the weekend.  We did have to head home earlier as more snow was threatening to close roads..it didn't!

New Grad

This month I used the 'Sunshine Vibes' bundle to create this layout for the Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team. Using die cuts to create stencils is a favourite way to create backgrounds for my scrapbook layouts. This bundle allowed me to do this and then to back some of the die cuts with in colour DSP.  Puffy hearts and fussy cut flowers add dimension. If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator already and want the supplies I have used, please visit: https://laramoss.stampinup.net and head to the shop to look for: Sunshine Vibes Bundle Mini Alphabet Dies Florals in Bloom DSP

I opened this pack up at a Scrapbooking Retreat and used it for most of my layouts over the weekend. There were a few! I also used some of my left overs from this kit to make a couple of cards that you can see in my YouTube process video (skip to 5.23 if you don't want the Design Space instructions :-) Thanks for visiting - I'd love for your to comment so I know you have been here :-) Next check out Diana’s blog.

Camping with Jack

Welcome to our Jack Blog Hop! We are going to share with you, items from our Jack Paper Pack with various projects created by talented Close To My Heart Consultants.  If you are visiting from Brenda's blog then you are on the right track, if not please head back to visit Carol's blog where this blog hop begins. Jack papers were a bit of a challenge for me, especially after my enjoyment of working with Prickly Pear last month.  Luckily I enjoy a challenge and have one layout, and a process video, to share with you here (there are some other pages and projects shared previously on my blog - after the blog hop you can pop back and check them out). The challenge here was using 3 photos.  I have become adept at choosing just one photo that tells a story and adding journaling so I don't always need lots of photos on a page or two. But as this was about an event, there were more photos to place.  I made use of the Camping Life stamps for embellishing and addi...
