Happy Jack

Kia Ora and welcome aboard our Jack Australasian Close To My Heart Blog Hop.
If you have arrived here from Vandra's Virtual CTMH Craftroom blog then you are in the right place.
If you have landed here by accident, just join in by following the link at the end of this post.

The 'Jack' papers have a manly feel to them so I selected a photo of a long term project my husband worked on - a Toyota Landcruiser.  The journaling is about the happiness he experienced finishing it and taking it for a drive.  Can you spot the title?
The title is cut using a 'happy' thincut out of vellum for a subtle feel.
I used layers of the Jack papers to add interest to my page and journaled on one of the zip strips.  The edges of the papers were 'roughed' up as I stuck them down.
If you don't already have a Close To My Heart Consultant to support you in purchasing some of these projects, visit my shop.

I had never thought of using vellum thin cuts over a photo like that. Very effective!

Great tip about using the vellum with the thin cuts. Your layout is beautiful if I can say that about a manly layout.
Nice layout. Clever use of vellum Lara

Purging

The stuff can take over.  My stuff was covering my work surface and much of the bedroom floor.  I had to do a big sort out. I was brutal.   Stuff...ready to go. I packaged it in some storage totes I had that needed a new home (I’m waiting for my new CTMH travel system to arrive) and listed it on s local trading site.  It’s gone now. It doesn’t look pretty but I have a desk space and things are organised. The rest of my supplies now fit in this cupboard. Since the ‘purge’ I have had the space to create.  It feels good and it’s great to be able to get to my desk. A few pages made since the tidy up...and a box of 20 cards!

my week so far...

This week is turning out great!  Having time on Monday (Otago Anniversary Day) to scrap with Lynley was just the best beginning!  Lynley was putting together some beginner class stuff that she intends to do soon – it looked great!  I got home to an email from The Scrapbook Outlet NZ asking if I would be a casual/oncall designer for their Design Team – of course I accepted – can’t wait to learn from Rach , Donna & Shani!  Then today I get an email from Jo (subeditor @ Up2Scrap ) accepting one of my submissions – I did send a few mind you so as you can imagine I’m buzzing!  I have packaged the LO ready to send tomorrow after Playcentre. Need to get back to reality though – Mum & Dad’s 50th Birthday this weekend, have to work out what I’m going to say, sort some table decorations & not to mention some way of sharing pictures of them when I only have Friday night & Saturday to do it!  Have to do some Playcentre Admin work this evening while Jase is @ Bible Study & the

Market Day

Sadly Lynley couldn't join me today as her dad is unwell :-( Was up rather early this morning (i.e. didn't get to bed till when some people are getting up on dairy farms) getting everything completed, packaged, priced etc for today and the organisation paid off as setting up was easy and had lots of sales :-) These photos are courtesy of Miss 8 who helped me set up this morning. Jase helped with the prep too and put these flowers together (as instructed). Off to make dinner, need sleep.
