Scrap Saturday

After a kind of non-scrapbooking or rather only scrapbooking at camps or retreats for a couple of years I decided it was time to get back into regular local scrapbooking events.  Last month I invited a couple of people to join me for  a Scrap Saturday - International Scrapbooking Day.  It was lots of fun, very creative, and nice to mix with some people I hadn't spent much time with as well as with others I catch up with regularly.  Our scrap days will typically be the first Saturday of each month - except January.

I asked Andrea from Scrapbook Outlet if she could send a box of goodies for sale on the day (Queenstown doesn't have any LSS apart from The Warehouse) to help inspire us and she also organised for Nic Howard to send us some Washi Tape.  I put the washi with some muslin, ribbon, 6x6 piece of paper and a gift tag (cut on the cricut) together as a little challenge pack for the ladies attending today.   I look forward to seeing what they come up with.

The vege soup is in the crock pot, bathroom cleaned and vacuuming done.
Ready to create!

New Grad

This month I used the 'Sunshine Vibes' bundle to create this layout for the Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team. Using die cuts to create stencils is a favourite way to create backgrounds for my scrapbook layouts. This bundle allowed me to do this and then to back some of the die cuts with in colour DSP.  Puffy hearts and fussy cut flowers add dimension. If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator already and want the supplies I have used, please visit: https://laramoss.stampinup.net and head to the shop to look for: Sunshine Vibes Bundle Mini Alphabet Dies Florals in Bloom DSP

Camping with Jack

Welcome to our Jack Blog Hop! We are going to share with you, items from our Jack Paper Pack with various projects created by talented Close To My Heart Consultants.  If you are visiting from Brenda's blog then you are on the right track, if not please head back to visit Carol's blog where this blog hop begins. Jack papers were a bit of a challenge for me, especially after my enjoyment of working with Prickly Pear last month.  Luckily I enjoy a challenge and have one layout, and a process video, to share with you here (there are some other pages and projects shared previously on my blog - after the blog hop you can pop back and check them out). The challenge here was using 3 photos.  I have become adept at choosing just one photo that tells a story and adding journaling so I don't always need lots of photos on a page or two. But as this was about an event, there were more photos to place.  I made use of the Camping Life stamps for embellishing and addi...
