Statue

We went for a walk on the waterfront in Queenstown on Saturday Morning and we got a big fright when this statue started moving next to us. We had lots of fun later watching everyone else get frights too as we ate delicious icecream from Patagonia - the girls had a chocolate one and I had lavender and honey. Ethan didn't get any as he hadn't eaten his lunch. I took home some of the handmade chocolate - dark chocolate & chilli; dark chocolate & lavender; dark chocolate & rose petals - all were stunning and immensely enjoyable later! Posted by Picasa

Yum the ice cream sounds delicious. Poor Ethan you must be a strong mum to be so firm wish I was more like that with mine.

My mum was with me so I had to stick to what I said! The girls were very kind (felt sorry for him) & gave him licks of theirs! He didn't actually seem to mind too much though.

Yep, poor Ethan. But good on you for sticking to your guns! They do learn. Now if only I could get Elliot to eat fruit and veges (other than potatoes and bananas!)

Loved your paperbag album Lara ... been waiting for you to post a copy on your blog - hint, hint - now Up2Scrap has hit the stores.
Congrats to Katya as well; just think, there you were 'thinking' how brave people were being, submitting their work and you go and get published! Even better!

Purging

The stuff can take over.  My stuff was covering my work surface and much of the bedroom floor.  I had to do a big sort out. I was brutal.   Stuff...ready to go. I packaged it in some storage totes I had that needed a new home (I’m waiting for my new CTMH travel system to arrive) and listed it on s local trading site.  It’s gone now. It doesn’t look pretty but I have a desk space and things are organised. The rest of my supplies now fit in this cupboard. Since the ‘purge’ I have had the space to create.  It feels good and it’s great to be able to get to my desk. A few pages made since the tidy up...and a box of 20 cards!

This week is turning out great!  Having time on Monday (Otago Anniversary Day) to scrap with Lynley was just the best beginning!  Lynley was putting together some beginner class stuff that she intends to do soon – it looked great!  I got home to an email from The Scrapbook Outlet NZ asking if I would be a casual/oncall designer for their Design Team – of course I accepted – can’t wait to learn from Rach , Donna & Shani!  Then today I get an email from Jo (subeditor @ Up2Scrap ) accepting one of my submissions – I did send a few mind you so as you can imagine I’m buzzing!  I have packaged the LO ready to send tomorrow after Playcentre. Need to get back to reality though – Mum & Dad’s 50th Birthday this weekend, have to work out what I’m going to say, sort some table decorations & not to mention some way of sharing pictures of them when I only have Friday night & Saturday to do it!  Have to do some Playcentre Admin work this ev...
