disco season

& they are such posers!!!!!!

I had fun spraying their hair purple & putting glitter through it - as well as twisting it up & grabbing some scrapping ribbons to tie in their hair! Term 3 is over & I have just under 2 weeks of mornings ahead of me with no firm committments :-)

We are moving at the end of October (finally bought a house) which is exciting but there's so much to happen before then. Jase almost has a chef which will releive him of kitchen duties and free him up for his mums 60th in Chch over labour weekend as well as making my trip to SENZ much easier to manage!

paying it forward... I think the email address might have been wrong as I haven't got an email from you both, but think I have them somewhere so will try to email you, otherwise flick me one at scrappykea 'at' xtra.co.nz.

Better stop procrastinating & get the washing sorted.

Congrats on the new house, sounds very exciting. Enjoy your 2 weeks of "no commitment" ... I'm looking forward to spending more time with Ethan in the hols, but also worrying about when I will get my work done!! :-0

Cute photos - and cute hair. I've always been useless at hair (despite coming from a family of girls and having a daughter myself!)

Purging

The stuff can take over.  My stuff was covering my work surface and much of the bedroom floor.  I had to do a big sort out. I was brutal.   Stuff...ready to go. I packaged it in some storage totes I had that needed a new home (I’m waiting for my new CTMH travel system to arrive) and listed it on s local trading site.  It’s gone now. It doesn’t look pretty but I have a desk space and things are organised. The rest of my supplies now fit in this cupboard. Since the ‘purge’ I have had the space to create.  It feels good and it’s great to be able to get to my desk. A few pages made since the tidy up...and a box of 20 cards!

Cheese Rolls

Spread sliced bread with Cheese Spread (see below). Roll up. Toast in oven & serve hot. These may be frozen and heated when required! cheese spread: 1pkt onion soup; 500g tasty cheese - grated; a 400g tin of evaporated milk; Put all ingredients in a saucepan and heat slowly until cheese melts and mixture thickens. Stir well. When cool store in jars in the fridge for sandwhiches etc or put in your cheese rolls! Yep, the Up2Scrap Elite Design team has been announced - soo privileged & excited to be a part of it. Congrats to Donna , Rach , Lianne , Trina & Sue & thanks Steph & Jo for the opportunity:-) We have been in Invercargill overnight - nice to get away even if it is only for a night! We went to Queens Park & the Museum/Art Gallery today & the Art Gallery Cafe served these cheese rolls -yum! Such a lower South Island thing - but soo good!

a catch up

Spent last night in Invers. We had a family dinner for dh's Nanny. We did a brief shop @ Farmers (none in the Wakatip) & went to Splash Palace this morning & BK for lunch (there's no BK here either!). Here are my 21 Challenge pages for the last three days. The hardest one was the Eleanor Roosevelt quote as I'm not sure what scares me - other than a lingering death while my children are still young, or one of them or dh being harmed in some way but even then I have a faith that gives me hope & assurance of a future. So I decided to apply this to my art or my creating - to try something new each day - even if it scares me. Day 4's quote was a goodie - I find that I make decisions all the time & this confirms that I am 'qualified' to make them. I used the pic of Katya for Day 6 as her blowing dandilion heads across the play area indicates this freedom & exploration of the world around. Watching her reminds me of the beauty & wonder al...
